1 Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Ave: 16.5

Pale straw, green tinge. Nose a little closed, mineral, grassy, greengage. Dry, racy acidity, flavours follow through from nose, medium body, long finish, excellent palate weight. Contains a splash of Semillon.
2 Chardonnay 2009

Ave: 16.5+

Pale gold, green hue. Intense lime, toast, peanut brittle. Dry, crisp, more citrus flavour, medium body, lingering finish, good palate weight. Wooded. French 225 and 500 litre barrel, medium toast, 10 to12 months, 10% new. One third natural ferment.
3 Viognier Limited Release 2009

Ave: 16.5

Pale gold. Intense pineapple, mandarin, peaches and cream. Dry, balanced acid, oak flavours dominate, full-bodied, shortish finish. Food wine. Wooded, 24 months old oak. Two barrels produced.
4 Sophie Rosé 2011

Ave: 15

Pretty pale salmon. Touch closed, raspberry, vanilla, herb. Dry, crisp, quite full, medium finish, a little tannic. Food wine. Saignée method from Shiraz.
5 Pinot Noir Limited Release 2010

Ave: 17

Pale cherry. Forthcoming raspberry, cherry, vanilla, hint of camphor, liquorice, smoky/meaty, white pepper. Firm ripe tannin, flavours follow through from nose, full, lingering. Needs time, shows promise. Two barrels made.
6 Sophie Le Rouge 2009

Ave: 15.5

Deepish black cherry. Forthcoming cedar, vanilla, blackberry, herbal. Ripe tannin,  a touch chalky, flavours follow through, medium body and finish, good palate weight. Very, very drinkable. Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon. 12 to 18 months in barrel, mostly, older barrels.
7 The Gunnar 2006

Ave: 17.5

Deep black cherry. Blackcurrant, cedar, cigar box, violet, spice. Firm ripe tannin, balanced, mouthfilling, long, rich, excellent palate weight. Elegant, classic. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot.
