Pongracz NV R41.50	Straw colour, medium mousse. Yeasty, some citrus and apples. Slightly biscuity. Crisp, with a lingering aftertaste Not scored
Vergelegen Sauvignon Blanc Reserve 1999 R34.25	Brilliant straw. Tinned asparagus, bell pepper, tropical fruit, flinty. Full-bodied, lingering. 15.5
Warwick Chardonnay 2000 R44.95	Pale gold. Lime (almost floral), fresh pineapple, butterscotch, creamy toasty. A bit flabby. 15.5
Simonsig Gewürztraminer 1998 R21.89	Special Late Harvest. Brilliant golden colour. Roses, litchi, dried apricots/marmalade, honey, potpourri, cloves. Sweetness not at all cloying. 16.0
Swartland Pinotage 2000	Intense plum colour. Plum jam, boiled sweets, fruit cake, clove spice. Tannic, shortish aftertaste, bitter. 14.0
Warwick Merlot 1997 R43.99	Deep ruby. Cherry dark chocolate, salty mint, black pepper. Elegant, with gentle tannin. Very drinkable. 16.0
Linton Park Shiraz 1999 R79.95	Intense, deep plum. Blackberry, plums, vanilla icecream, pepper spice. Layered, dynamic, smooth, elegant, lingering. 17.0
Rust en Vrede Cabernet Sauvignon 1997 R80.79	Opaque ruby. Cassis, blackberry, cigar tobacco, back tea, coffee, mint, spicy. Lingering. Still very young - needs time! 16.5
